National Park Service

Thank you for the wonderful support you have provided to our Parks over the last few years.

The National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks, is running a massive public awareness and education campaign, Find Your Park, to continue its 2016 celebration of the centennial anniversary of the National Park Service (8/25/16). Much more than just a birthday party, the Centennial celebration is helping to enable Americans to discover and reconnect with their public lands. Our goal is to ensure these special places and sites are sustained and enjoyed for the next 100 years.

According to recent research, while 8/10 Americans (82%) have heard of the National Park Service, only 38% are at all familiar with the organization and all that they do. On top of that, less than 13% of visitors to national parks were under the age of 30. The Find Your Park campaign is meant to engage the next generation, the future supporters, by inviting them to see that a national park is more than just a place – it can be a feeling, a state of mind, or a sense of American pride. Beyond vast landscapes, the campaign highlights historical, urban, and cultural parks, showing the breadth and variety of the National Park system. Further, Find Your Park encourages people to find their own personal connections within the network of national parks and their programs.

Please join us to get these timely creative executions across the country, spreading the message of find your park and encouraging those nationwide to join in the centennial celebration!
