Florida Department of Health – COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign
The Florida Department of Health is seeking your support in combating COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and encouraging vaccinations by helping to inform Floridians, especially those with less access to information and support.
Vaccines are one of the most effective tools to protect health and prevent the spread of disease. The COVID-19 vaccines are free and available to anyone 12 years of age and older as authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the COVID-19 vaccines used in the U.S. are safe, highly effective, and reduce the risk of hospitalization. The COVID-19 vaccines also protect against the risk of severe illness from the COVID-19 virus, including known variants of concern.
Ensuring Floridians have accurate and up-to-date information from trusted sources is key to addressing vaccine hesitancy and combating misinformation. The underlying message of the campaign underscores the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines and the availability of COVID-19 vaccines in Florida. We believe this campaign will increase vaccinations, direct the public to resources, and help them identify the nearest vaccine sites.
