Communities in Schools

As you know, COVID-19 is impacting the lives of millions of students, their families and teachers. School closures and hybrid learning models are causing lasting consequences often to the most vulnerable of students – those who may face hunger, homelessness and trauma. Fortunately, there is an organization dedicated to helping students inside schools and beyond.

For years, Communities In Schools (CIS) has worked in schools across the country to provide students with basic needs like food, clothing and shelter; whatever it takes to help kids thrive, CIS has not stopped.

We are now working beyond the school’s walls, going wherever needed to ensure students can succeed — delivering food and supplies, providing tele-counseling and access to the internet, especially during these unsettling times we are all experiencing.
